Academic discipline, conduct and guardian responsibility guidelines

Rules and Regulations – EKRIT EDUCATION

Every student is expected to maintain discipline, respect and good behaviour inside the institution campus.

1. Academic Discipline

  • Attendance: Minimum 75% attendance is compulsory. Absence must be informed with a written application from guardian.
  • Punctuality: Institution starts at 10:00 AM. Students must reach by 9:50 AM for morning assembly. Latecomers will not be allowed without guardian.
  • Homework & Classwork: Daily homework must be completed. Defaulters will stay after institution to finish work.
  • Examinations: No student will be promoted without appearing in all unit tests, half-yearly and annual exams. Unfair means will lead to cancellation of paper.

2. Conduct & Behaviour

  • Students must respect teachers, staff, classmates and institution property.
  • Use of Assamese is encouraged. Abusive language, bullying or ragging is strictly prohibited and may lead to suspension.
  • Proper institution uniform with ID card is compulsory on all working days. PT uniform on specified days only.
  • Keep classrooms and campus clean. Spitting, littering or writing on walls will be fined.

3. General Rules

  • Mobiles, smart watches or electronic gadgets are not allowed. If found, they will be confiscated.
  • Long leave must be approved by the Principal in advance. For sick leave, medical certificate is required if more than 3 days.
  • Cost of any damage to institution property must be paid by the student/guardian.
  • Students must bring tiffin from home. Buying food from outside vendors during institution hours is not allowed.

4. Co-curricular & Sports

  • Participation in at least one cultural or sports activity is compulsory for all students.
  • During games period, proper PT dress and discipline must be maintained.

5. Guardian’s Responsibility

  • Guardians must attend Parent-Teacher meetings whenever called.
  • Check and sign the institution diary daily.
  • Pay fees by the 10th of each month. Fine will be charged for late payment.

6. Prohibited Activities

  • Smoking, chewing gutkha/tobacco or bringing objectionable items to institution.
  • Leaving institution campus during institution hours without gate pass from Principal.
  • Any political activity or unionism inside institution premises.

Note

Violation of rules will lead to: Warning → Guardian Call → Fine → Suspension → Expulsion, depending on severity. The Principal’s decision will be final in all matters of discipline.
